Surrounded by national parks and national forests, tourism dominates the region. Sublette County ranks second in gas production in the state. Fremont County boasts 140,000 irrigate acres and is a HUB Zone. Central Wyoming College provides the area with training facilities.
Business parks are located in almost every community. Riverton and Jackson offer commercial air service with direct flights to Salt Lake City and Denver. Dubois and Lander have public airports. Major US Highways 26, 287, 189 and 191 are the lifelines of the West Central communities. Fremont County is served by north/south rail service.
From the grandeur of Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks to the peaks of the Wind River Mountains, the region’s beauty is unparalleled. The cities and towns offer activities ranging from symphonies, to golf courses and community recreational facilities.
